Instants of Metamorphosis 01 is an interactive video installation that is the first emergence of a process-based collective work by the DOUBLE Collective. This process is being documented and analyzed as part of my PhD research work. The intention is to use a methodology based on systemic measures of complexity and organization to help in understanding the artistic practice related to interactive digital installations from the complex systems logic, focusing the connections, the dialogue between the elements, and emergences. The artists, in a collective practice, as conceivers, producers and observers, becomes parts of a complex system – from a complexity sciences perspective, the observer integrates the observation to the system.
